BRIGADIER GENERAL DOUGLAS D. DELOZIER

Brigadier General Douglas D. Delozier was Commander, 118th Air Wing. As Wing Commander, he directed the administration, training, manning, funding, equipping and employment of four groups to include Operations, Maintenance, Support and Medical while providing mission requirements support to tenant units, 241st Engineering Installation Squadron, Chattanooga, Tennessee and Joint Force Headquarters, Nashville, Tennessee.

General Delozier received his commission in 1982 through the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps program after graduating from the College of Saint Thomas in Saint Paul, Minnesota. He received his Pilot Wings at Vance Air Force Base, Oklahoma in 1983. His first assignment was to the 105th Tactical Airlift Squadron, Nashville, Tennessee, as a Project Season Officer flying C-130A models. During his tenure as Commander, 105th Airlift Squadron, he deployed for seven months to Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Kuwait during combat operations in support of Iraqi Freedom.

General Delozier was a Command Pilot with over 7300 flying hours, 337 of which were combat flying hours flown in support of Operations Provide Promise, Noble Eagle and Iraqi Freedom. He has flown the T-37, T-38, C-130A, C130E, C-130H2 and WC-130 aircraft. As a pilot, he served as Instructor, Functional Check Flight Pilot, All Weather Aerial Delivery System Pilot, Evaluator Pilot, Flight Commander, Chief Pilot, Assistant Director of Operations, Squadron Commander, Vice Wing Commander and Wing Commander.
