Deputy Adjutant General - Army, Wisconsin Army National Guard
Brigadier General James A. Krueck assumed duties as Deputy Adjutant General-Army, Wisconsin National Guard on 1 November 2006. As Deputy Adjutant General he commands the Wisconsin Army National Guard and is responsible for both its federal and state missions.
General Krueck began his military career by enlisting in the Wisconsin Army National Guard in December 1966. After ten years of enlisted and warrant officer service, he was commissioned a second lieutenant of armor in 1978. He held a variety of command and staff assignments in the 32nd Infantry Brigade headquarters; 1st Battalion, 632nd Armor; 1st Battalion, 121st Field Artillery; the 13th Evacuation Hospital; and the 64th Troop Command before becoming Deputy Director of Personnel and Administration for the Wisconsin Army National Guard in 1994. Since then he has served as Director of Personnel and Administration, Director of Human Resources, Director of Logistics, and Chief of Staff in Army Guard State Headquarters, and Commanding General, 32nd Infantry Brigade. General Krueck completed a one year mobilization in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, as the Commander, 32nd Separate Infantry Brigade (Light) and Deputy Commander, 377th Theater Support Command (Forward), a Combat Service Support Command responsible for all the logistics in the Central Command Area of Responsibility in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
