BRIGADIER GENERAL JESSIE R. ROBINSON

Brigadier General Jessie R. Robinson is currently assigned as the Director, Joint Staff, Joint Force Headquarters, Mississippi National Guard. As the Director, Joint Staff, he provides oversight to the Adjutant General for the overall readiness of the Mississippi National Guard with a focus on personnel readiness and functions of the fulltime workforce. He coordinates with the Adjutant General, Major Subordinate Command Commanders, National Guard Staff, United States Property and Fiscal Officer, and overhead commanders in establishing and implementing long range plans to assure personnel, facilities, equipment, supplies, funds, and supporting services are available to ensure the highest readiness levels possible.

General Robinson was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant, Infantry, on May 11, 1985, through the Reserve Officers' Training Corps at the University of Southern Mississippi. He has served in command and staff positions at every level, including Commander, 890th Engineer Battalion, Deputy Commander, 168th Engineer Brigade, Chief of Staff, Joint Force Headquarters, Mississippi Army National Guard, Commander, Camp McCain Training Site, Mississippi Army National Guard, and most recently as Assistant Adjutant General - Army, Joint Force Headquarters, Mississippi National Guard.

General Robinson served on active duty as Commander, 150th Combat Engineer Battalion, 155th Armored Brigade Combat Team during combat operations in Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2005.
