BRIGADIER GENERAL RILEY P. PORTER

 

Assistant Adjutant General - Air, Arkansas National Guard

Brigadier General Riley P. Porter, serves as Assistant Adjutant General - Air, Arkansas National Guard, Little Rock Air Force Base. He is responsible for the tactical employment, administration and training of Arkansas Air National Guard units.

General Porter, a traditional Guardsman, is a native of West Helena, Arkansas. He is a 1974 graduate of the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville with a Bachelor of Science in business administration and marketing. Upon graduation, General Porter was commissioned a second lieutenant through the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps program. After completing pilot training at Vance Air Force Base, Oklahoma, in December 1975, General Porter attended the Strategic Air Command Combat Crew Training in the KC-135 at Castle Air Force Base, California. He served as a KC-135 pilot at Loring Air Force Base, Maine from July 1976 - December 1980. He joined the 154th Air Refueling Squadron, Arkansas Air National Guard, Little Rock Air Force Base, Arkansas, June 1981. General Porter is as command pilot with more than 5,700 flying hours in training, tanker and airlift aircraft.
