BRIGADIER GENERAL TERRY A. ETHRIDGE

 

Director, Joint Staff, Tennessee National Guard

Brigadier General Terry A. Ethridge is Director, Joint Staff, Tennessee National Guard. In this capacity, he reports directly to The Adjutant General for all Joint matters and assists in the external affairs functions including presenting and enforcing National Guard policies, plans and programs. General Ethridge presides over the Tennessee National Guard Joint Staff and represents Army and Air capabilities, requirements, policy, plans and programs in joint operations.

General Ethridge was commissioned Field Artillery from the Middle Tennessee State University Reserve Officers Training Corps program in 1978. He is a graduate of the United States Army Airborne School, Field Artillery Officer Basic and Cannon Battery Officer Courses. He completed the Officer Rotary Wing Aviator Course, the UH-60 Transition Course and the Air Assault Course in 1981. He is a graduate of numerous Battalion and Brigade level courses. Additionally he attended and completed UH-60 Instructor Pilot Course. He was instrumental in the development and fielding of the HH60L MEDEVAC Helicopter. He worked as the test pilot and instructor pilot during the aircrafts design and development phase. General Ethridge is a 1991 graduate of the Command and General Staff College and completed the United States Army War College in 2006. He has served in numerous positions within the United States Army, Army Reserve and Tennessee Army National Guard.
