Brigadier General Richard G. Turner served as Assistant Adjutant General - Air, Idaho National Guard. He was responsible for formulating, developing and coordinating all policies, plans and program for all units assigned to the Idaho Air National Guard, which includes the 124th Fighter Wing equipped with A-10's, the 266th Range Squadron, the 124th Air Support Operations Squadron, and the 212th Command and Control Squadron.
General Turner was commissioned as a second Lieutenant in February 1986 and held Air Force specialty qualifications in Supply-Fuels, Aircraft Maintenance, Munitions Maintenance and Mission Support. He held progressively more responsible financial, supervisory and policy-making positions at the flight, squadron and wing levels. Prior to his selection for commissioning, he served as a non-commissioned officer for ten years, as a military technician and drill-status guardsman in the Idaho Air National Guard.
