Major General William O. Hill

Maj. Gen. William O. Hill served as the Assistant Adjutant General for Air and as Commander, Mississippi Air National Guard, Joint Forces Headquarters, Jackson, Mississippi.  He was responsible to the Adjutant General for directing Air National Guard operations, establishing policy, and ensuring the combat capability and mission readiness for two Air Mobility Command flying Wings, a Combat Readiness Training Center, Air Support Operations Squadron, Air Component Operations Center, Special Operations Civil Engineering Squadron and an Air Control Squadron.

General Hill was commissioned in 1988 and completed Undergraduate Pilot Training at Vance Air Force Base in 1989.  He served in numerous assignments throughout the 172d Airlift Wing including Wing Commander, Operations Group Commander, Chief of Safety, Chief of Command Post, Command and Control Officer and Line Pilot.  General Hill is a command pilot with more than 4,900 flying hours in C-141's and C-17s.
