Chief of Staff - Air, Kentucky
Brigadier General Steven P. Bullard is the Chief of Staff, Headquarters, Kentucky Air National Guard, and Deputy Chief of the Joint Staff, Joint Force Headquarters-Kentucky National Guard. He is responsible to The Adjutant General and Adjutant General-Air for the coordination of policy, guidance, and direction of the Commonwealth's over 8,400 Army and Air Guardsmen.
General Bullard was commissioned through Officer Training School and received his navigator wings at Mather Air Force Base, both in 1985. He served as a C-130 instructor and evaluator navigator at Pope Air Force Base, North Carolina from 1985 - 1990 and with the Kentucky Air National Guard since 1991. General Bullard has held multiple leadership and senior staff positions, most recently Vice Commander of the 123d Airlift Wing, Kentucky Air National Guard and as Chief of Operations for the Joint Intelligence and Operations Center at Headquarters, U.S. Central Command, MacDill Air Force Base, Florida, in 2008-2009. He served as the Kandahar Air Field, Afghanistan, Senior Airfield Authority for the NATO International Security Assistance Force and Commander, 451st Air Expeditionary Group, U.S. Air Force, in 2006 - 2007. During his career, General Bullard participated in Operations Desert Shield, Provide Promise, Restore Hope, Joint Endeavor, Joint Forge, Southern Watch, Bright Star, Coronet Oak, Noble Eagle, Enduring Freedom, and Iraqi Freedom.
