Brigadier General Elton Lewis is the Assistant Adjutant General - Army, Virgin Islands National Guard. His duties include the training, resourcing, mobilization and demobilization of units of the Virgin Islands National Guard in support of federal mobilization and national contingencies. His duties also include lending the necessary assistance and support to civil authorities of the Virgin Islands in natural or man-made disasters, civil disturbances and other territorial contingencies.
General Lewis was direct commissioned in July 1985 in the Military Police Corps. Prior to receiving his commission, General Lewis served as an enlisted member of the 661st Military Police Company of the Virgin Islands National Guard.
