BRIGADIER GENERAL PATRICK J. DOLAN

 

Army National Guard Assistant to the Chief of Chaplains

Chaplain (Brigadier General) Patrick J. Dolan is the Army National Guard Assistant to the Chief of Chaplains. He assists Chief of Army Chaplains with strategic issues and responsibilities, but with particular emphasis on how any developments might impact the National Guard members in their States, Territories and the District of Columbia.

After completing a doctorate in chemistry at Indiana University, he spent 4 years in Divinity School in Rome, where his work with a number of American military families connected him to the chaplaincy. He then joined the Kentucky National Guard in 1992 and served with 1-623rd Field Artillery, 138th Fires Brigade and Joint Force Headquarters. Having been deployed to the Middle East 4 times, he cared for units and all military personnel in various parts of Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Egypt. He currently pastors two parishes in Casey County as part of his duties with the Archdiocese of Louisville.
