BRIGADIER GENERAL MICHAEL W. MCHENRY

Assistant Division Commander, 38th Infantry Division

Brigadier General Michael W. McHenry serves as Assistant Division Commander, 38th Infantry Division in Indianapolis, Indiana. As Assistant Division Commander, he is responsible to the Commanding General for sustainment, personnel services, health services and maneuver support of the 38th Infantry Division.

General McHenry received his commission from the Ohio National Guard's Officer Candidate State Program in 1980. He has commanded at the company, battalion and group levels while serving in staff assignments at the company, battalion, group, brigade and Ohio Joint Force Headquarters levels. In 2005, General McHenry was deployed with the Rapid Equipping Force in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom to provide new equipment prototypes to assist the 18th Airborne Corps and Multinational Coalition Forces.
