BRIGADIER GENERAL JEFFREY E. BERTRANG

 

Assistant Division Commander-Maneuver, 34th Infantry Division

Brigadier General Jeffrey E. Bertrang is Assistant Division Commander-Maneuver, 34th Infantry "Red Bull" Division, Minnesota Army National Guard, Rosemount, Minnesota.

General Bertrang was commissioned second lieutenant, Field Artillery, in 1985 through the Reserve Officer Training Corps program at Mankato State University. Prior to taking his commission, he served as an enlisted member of the 1st Battalion 125th Field Artillery. General Bertrang commanded troop units at the company, battalion and brigade levels of the field artillery as well as a number of staff positions at the brigade and division levels. General Bertrang served a tour of duty as the Division G3 in Kosovo. He was also Commander, Task Force 32 during the 2008 Republican National Convention in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
