Brigadier General Alexander E. Duckworth was the Assistant Division Commander, 35th Infantry Division, Topeka, Kansas.

General Duckworth began his military career as an enlisted artilleryman in 1978. He was commissioned as a second lieutenant on May 5, 1980 from the Officer Candidate School in Oklahoma. After completing the Field Artillery Officer Basic Course he served in multiple battery grade assignments in Oklahoma including Cannon and Multiple Launch Rocket System Command. Since joining the Kansas Army National Guard he has served in multiple Battalion, Brigade, and Division assignments to include: Fire Direction Officer, 1-127th Field Artillery; Fire Support Officer, 1-127th Field Artillery; Operations Officer (S-3), 1-127th Field Artillery; Battalion Executive Officer, 2-130th Field Artillery; Operations Officer (S-3), 35th Division Artillery; Commander, 2-130th Field Artillery Multiple Launch Rocket System; Commander, 130th Field Artillery.
