Assistant to the Commander, North American Aerospace Defense Command
Major General Scott B. Schofield is Mobilization Assistant to the Commander, North American Aerospace Defense Command, Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado. He serves as the senior reserve officer and principal advisor to the commander and his staff on wartime and peacetime capabilities of the National Guard. He advises the Commander and staff on National Guard programs, plans, regulations and personnel relative to the execution of North American Aerospace Defense Command operational requirements. General Schofield participated in the development of North American Aerospace Defense Command plans and bi-national defense policy and advocates requirements and programs to the National Guard Bureau. During wartime he serves as a senior member of the North American Aerospace Defense Command battle staff. General Schofield promoted close communications and coordination between North American Aerospace Defense Command and its subordinate commands and all National Guard entities from the National Guard Bureau to the State Joint Force Headquarters level.
General Schofield graduated from the Air Force Academy in June 1977. He has served with the United States Air Force, Air Force Reserve, and Air National Guard. General Schofield is a Command Pilot with over 3300 hours flight time. He has been an instructor in numerous aircraft, including the T-38, RF-4C, F-4E and the F-16C.
