BRIGADIER GENERAL SCOTT D. LEGWOLD

 

Director, Joint Staff, Wisconsin Joint Force Headquarters

Brigadier General Scott D. Legwold is the Director, Joint Staff, Wisconsin Joint Force Headquarters, Wisconsin National Guard. General Legwold is responsible for overseeing all joint staff functions for the newly created Joint Staff Directorate within the Joint Force Headquarters - Wisconsin. He also serves as the Joint Task Force Commander for domestic operations.

General Legwold was commissioned a Second Lieutenant through the Officer Candidate School at Fort Benning, Georgia, in August 1982. He has served in a number of positions within the Wisconsin Army National Guard, including Company Commander, Operations Officer and State Training Officer. In October 2000, General Legwold was named the Director of Information Management for the Wisconsin Army National Guard. In December 2003, he became the first Chief of Staff, Joint Staff for the Wisconsin National Guard. General Legwold was mobilized to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and served as the Deputy Director, then Director, CJ5 for Combined Forces Command, and as the Director, Initiatives Group, Political Military Affairs for Combined Security Transition Command. In February of 2008, he became the Director, Joint Staff, Wisconsin Joint Force Headquarters and the State Joint Task Force Commander.
