Commander,
Land Component Command, Massachusetts Army National Guard
Brigadier General Thomas J. Sellars assumed the duties of Commander, Land Component Command, Massachusetts Army National Guard in March 2007. He is responsible for training of all Army National Guard Troops and Units in Massachusetts, as well as their preparedness to respond to Civil Support Operations and deployments in support of their wartime mission. General Sellars also serves as the Assistant Adjutant General/Executive Officer of the Military Division, Massachusetts National Guard and Commander, Joint Force Headquarters.
General Sellars was commissioned in 1977 through the Officer Candidate School at the Massachusetts State Military Academy. Prior to receiving his commission, General Sellars served as an enlisted member of the 1st Battalion 241st (Honest John Rocket) Field Artillery of the Massachusetts Army National Guard.
