Brigadier General David F. Irwin served as Assistant Division Commander, 35th Infantry Division in February 2010.
General Irwin was commissioned in 1982 through the Reserve Officer Training Corp program at Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama. He held command leadership positions of increasing responsibility from section leader through Command of the 129th Field Artillery Battalion and the 70th Troop Command. Prior to this assignment, General Irwin served as Commander, 35th Engineer Brigade, Missouri National Guard.
