BRIGADIER GENERAL ALLYSON R. SOLOMON

Brigadier General Allyson R. Solomon is the Assistant Adjutant General - Air, Maryland National Guard, Baltimore, Maryland. She is also dual-hatted as the Air National Guard Assistant to the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force, Manpower and Reserve Affairs. As Assistant Adjutant General-Air, she serves as the principal advisor to both the Governor and the Adjutant General of Maryland on matters pertaining to the Maryland Air National Guard. General Solomon also serves as the Commander of the Maryland Air National Guard, commanding an authorized strength of 1,539 officers and airmen with 21 A-10. She is responsible to the Adjutant General for the overall management of the flying program and ensuring the units of the Maryland Air National Guard are organized, equipped, and trained to support federal and state missions.

General Solomon was commissioned in 1986 through the Academy of Military Science, McGhee Tyson Air National Guard Base in Knoxville, Tennessee. Prior to receiving her commission, General Solomon served as an enlisted member in the Maryland Air National Guard for seven years.
