BRIGADIER GENERAL GREGORY A. FICK

 

Chief of Staff - Air, Vermont National Guard

Brigadier General Gregory A. Fick is the Chief of Staff, Vermont Air National Guard, Colchester, Vermont. General Fick is responsible for directing and coordinating Joint Force Headquarters staff activities in support of over 1,000 members of the Vermont Air National Guard. He provides operational direction to the 229th Information Operations Squadron in providing web-based training to Active, Guard and Reserve Airmen. General Fick collaborates with the Assistant Adjutant General - Air, Vermont National Guard to provide strategic vision and advice to The Adjutant General, Vermont.

General Fick began his military career as an enlisted Airman working on F-106 RADAR systems for the Montana Air National Guard. He received his commission in 1980 from the Academy of Military Science, McGhee Tyson Air National Guard Base, Tennessee as an Honor Graduate. General Fick served in numerous flying and operations assignments as well as command positions at detachment, group and wing levels. He also served as Commander, 506th Aerospace Expeditionary Group, Kirkuk Air Base, Iraq. General Fick is a command pilot with more than 3,500 hours, primarily in the F-106 and F-16.
