General Officer Biography

BRIGADIER GENERAL ROBERT L. BOGGS

 

Brigadier General Robert L. Boggs is the chief of staff of the Ohio Air National Guard, located at Beightler Armory, Columbus, Ohio. As Chief of Staff, he is responsible for 5,000 Guard personnel and the operation of four flying wings and seven geographically separated units. General Boggs enlisted in the 178th Combat Support Squadron, Ohio Air National Guard, at Springfield Municipal Airport, Ohio in 1971. He has served in various support and command positions in Ohio fighter and air refueling units. Under his command, the 121st Communications Flight was twice named as best communications flight in the nation. Prior to his current position, the General was the vice commander of the 121st Air Refueling Wing, Columbus, Ohio.
