BRIGADIER GENERAL KEITH W. CORBETT

Assistant Adjutant General - Army, South Dakota Army National Guard

Brigadier General Keith W. Corbett is the Assistant Adjutant General for the South Dakota Army National Guard. As the assistant adjutant general, he is responsible for the South Dakota Army National Guard's troop readiness, including training and mobilization exercises.

He began his military service in 1976 with a commission from the Air Force ROTC, South Dakota State University. Brig. Gen. Corbett became a transportation officer in the South Dakota Army National Guard on December 28, 1983. He has held numerous command positions with the Headquarters and Headquarters, Detachment, 139th, Transportation Battalion, 1742nd Transportation Company, 665th Maintenance Company, and was battalion commander of the 88th Troop Command. His most recent assignment was Deputy Commander Joint Force Headquarters. He now serves as Dean, College of General Studies, at South Dakota State University.
