MAJOR GENERAL KATHLEEN E. FICK

 

Director of Intelligence (J2), National Guard Bureau

Major General Kathleen E. Fick currently serves as the Director of Intelligence (J2), National Guard Bureau. She was previously assigned as the Assistant Adjutant General for Air, Hawaii Air National Guard.

General Fick received her commission in 1976 through the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps program at Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas. She began her military career as a training officer at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas and later became a Department of Defense Schools Officer and the Headquarters Squadron Section Commander at the 52nd Tactical Fighter Wing, Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany. She then served as a Squadron Section Commander within the 4th Tactical Fighter Wing, Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, North Carolina. In 1981, General Fick transitioned to the Missouri Air National Guard and served as the Wing Intelligence Officer in the 131st Fighter Wing supporting fighter operations. After graduating from the Post Graduate Intelligence Program at the Joint Military Intelligence College at Bolling Air Force Base, Washington, District of Columbia in 1994, General Fick served as the Air National Guard Advisor to the Air Force Director for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance while also serving as the program element monitor and functional manager for Air National Guard intelligence programs.

Upon graduation from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces at Fort McNair, Washington, District of Columbia in 1999, General Fick served as the Division Chief for Space, Intelligence and Information Warfare at the National Guard Bureau in Arlington, Virginia. She then became the Air National Guard director for Space and Information Superiority, where she provided leadership, direction and oversight for all Air National Guard Space, Command and Control, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance, and Information Operations missions. She holds a Master Intelligence Officer Badge.
