BRIGADIER GENERAL TIMOTHY S. PHILLIPS

 

Assistant Adjutant General - Army, Arizona Army National Guard

Brigadier General Timothy S. Phillips assumed the duties of Assistant Adjutant General, Arizona Army National Guard on June 4, 2006. This assignment follows two years as Camp Navajo Brigade Commander, Arizona Army National Guard.

He was commissioned a Second Lieutenant under the Army's Early Commissioning Program on 19 May 1979 prior to completing his Bachelors degree from Arizona State University and began active reserve service in the Arizona Army National Guard. BG Phillips has served his entire military career with the Arizona Army National Guard. His initial assignment was with the 259th Engineer Company (CSE) in Phoenix, Arizona where he served as a Platoon Leader. Since his initial assignment he has been assigned numerous leadership, command and staff positions in his 27 years of service. His most notable assignments included 3-1/2 years as Commander of the 258th Engineer Company (CE), Battalion Commander/RTI XO for the 158th REGT (RTI) and most recently Brigade/Installation Commander for HQ, Camp Navajo in Flagstaff.
