BRIGADIER GENERAL GLENN C. HAMMOND III

 

Commander, 16th Engineer Brigade

Brigadier General Glenn C. Hammond III assumed the duties as Commander of the 16th Engineer Brigade of the Ohio Army National Guard, located at Bush Armory in Columbus, Ohio on 5 May 2007. As Commander, he is responsible for 1,388 Engineer Soldiers assigned to his headquarters and two subordinate engineer battalions.

General Hammond enlisted in the Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 134th Engineer Group in 1971. He received his commission as an Engineer Officer through the Officer Candidate School at the 145th Regional Training Institute in 1974. He has commanded at the Company, Battalion, Group, and Brigade levels. Recent assignments include Deputy Brigade Commander, 16th Engineer Brigade, J5, Joint Force Headquarters, and Deputy Chief of Staff Military Support, Joint Force Headquarters.
