Major General Patrick J. Moisio was Special Assistant to the Combatant Commander, North American Aerospace Defense Command/United States Northern Command for National Guard Matters and Liaison to the Chief, National Guard Bureau, Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado. In this position he served as a principle advisor to the combatant commander on matters concerning homeland defense, civil support and aerospace defense under the operational range of interest of the Army and Air National Guard.
General Moisio was commissioned in 1977 through the United States Air Force Academy. He attended undergraduate pilot training at Williams Air Force Base followed by A-7D combat crew training at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base. General Moisio flew the A-7D and the A-10A while on active duty. In 1984 he joined the Arizona Air National Guard and served as an A-7D and F-16A/C Instructor Pilot.
General Moisio has served as Commander, 148th Fighter Squadron, 162nd Operations Group, and 162nd Fighter Wing. His most recent position was Deputy Director, Air National Guard. General Moisio has more than 5,800 flight hours.
