MAJOR GENERAL RONALD G. CROWDER

 

Deputy Commanding General, United States Army, Pacific

Major General Ronald Crowder assumed duties as Deputy Commander (National Guard), United States Army, Pacific (USARPAC), Fort Shafter, Hawaii in April 2004. United States Army, Pacific's mission is to provide United States Pacific Command (PACOM) trained and ready Forces in support of security operations, from engagement to war fighting, to promote regional stability, and ensure successful crisis response or decisive victory.

General Crowder's prior assignment was a one year active duty tour as the Deputy Director for Operations/Deputy J3 United States Northern Command, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. General Crowder's primary responsibility was NorthCom's lead for Ground-based Mid-Course Missile Defense. General Crowder served as Assistant Adjutant General, Colorado Army National Guard while dual-hatted as the Deputy Chief of Staff, Operations/ G-3 (Wartime) to the Eighth U.S. Army in Seoul, Korea. General Crowder received a Regular Army commission in the Field Artillery after graduating with distinction from the Reserve Officer Training Corps at the University of Florida. He then served on active duty in Germany, Vietnam and again in Germany. After leaving active duty to pursue law school, General Crowder joined the Colorado Army National Guard. In the National Guard he has commanded at the Battery, Battalion, Brigade and State levels. In 1997, he left the practice of law for two years of active duty in United States European Command where he served initially as the Chief of the US Military Liaison Team in Vilnius, Lithuania, followed by the same position with the team in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

Major General Crowder was in the private practice of law in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He has previously served as a Deputy District Attorney and a municipal court judge. He is licensed to practice law in the State of Colorado and in the Federal Courts, up to and including the United States Supreme Court.
