BRIGADIER GENERAL WILLIAM H. SHAWVER, JR.

 

Assistant Adjutant General - Air, Idaho National Guard

Brigadier General William H. Shawver is the Assistant Adjutant General-Air, Idaho National Guard. He is responsible for formulating, developing and coordinating all policies, plans and programs for all units assigned to the Idaho Air National Guard, which includes the 124th Fighter Wing equipped with A-10s, the 266th Range Squadron, the 124th Air Support Operations Squadron, and the 212th Command and Control Squadron. 

In May of 1985, General Shawver received his commissioned as a Second Lieutenant through the Academy of Military Science at Knoxville, Tennessee. Prior to receiving his commission, General Shawver served as an enlisted member of the 366th Wing before joining the 124th Fighter Group, of the Idaho Air National Guard.
