BRIGADIER GENERAL CHARLES A. HARVEY

Assistant Adjutant General, New Jersey Army National Guard

Brigadier General Charles A. Harvey is currently serves as the Assistant Adjutant General at the Joint Force Headquarters New Jersey National Guard. His duties and responsibilities include oversight of the Army National Guard Joint Training and Training Development Center; 254th Regimental Training Institute, the Officer Candidate Program and the Junior Leader Development Program. The New Jersey Army National Guard Diversity Initiative; the Annual Conferences of the National Guard Association of New Jersey and the Enlisted Association of the National Guard New Jersey; and, upon activation under emergency circumstances assists The Adjutant General in command of the Guard Forces. Prior to his current assignment, General Harvey served as the Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations J3, New Jersey National Guard.

General Harvey's career includes command of a Supply and Services Company, a Corps Support Battalion and the 57th Troop Command, New Jersey Army National Guard.

General Harvey served as a full time federal technician in the 50th Armored Division Property Book Office from 1979 until 1983, the United States Property and Fiscal Office as the Logistics Officer from 1983 until 1997, the Executive Officer/ Administrative Officer for the 57th Troop Command from 1997 until 2000 and in the Joint Force Headquarters New Jersey as the J-3/G-3, Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations from 2000 until his retirement 1 July 2006.
