BRIGADIER GENERAL DANIEL P. COFFEY

Brigadier General Daniel P. Coffey assumed duties as Commander, 66th Aviation Brigade on September 14, 1998. The 66th Aviation Brigade is comprised of the 211th Aviation Group (Attack) in Utah and the 185th Aviation Group (General Support) in Mississippi as well as subordinate units in fifteen states.

His active military service began in 1970. He received a RA commission through ROTC and attended the Medical Service Corps OBC. He attended Flight School and afterwards was assigned as an Evacuation Pilot for the 507th Medical Company at Fort Sam Houston. His assignments also include duty in Vietnam with the 571st Medical Detachment. He then served with The U.S. Army Reserves and joined the Army National Guard in 1987.
