Commander, Headquarters 142d Signal Brigade
Brigadier General D. Brooks Hodges III assumed duties as Commander, 142d Signal Brigade, Decatur, Alabama on 15 May 2005. As Commander, he serves in a dual role as commander of a multi-component signal brigade composed of three reserve component and one active component signal battalions and also serves as the Signal Officer for 1st (US) Corps.
The General's active commissioned military service began in 1975. He was commissioned through ROTC at the University of Kentucky in May of 1975 and was assigned to the Armor Officer Basic Course,Fort Knox, Kentucky. He served in various active duty assignments from 1975 to 1977. Prior to this assignment, Brigadier General Hodges served as the Assistant Corps Signal Officer (1st US Corps), 142d Signal Brigade, Decatur, AL, CJ6-Combined Forces Command-Afghanistan, and most recently as the Deputy Brigade Commander, 142d Signal Brigade.

A majority of sales are to domestic companies with significant business in South America and Asia. Duties consist of overseeing all production and operations, human resources, information systems, financial operations, environmental and regulatory compliance, and customer-related aspects of the business. This business was chartered in 1978 and has been profitable ever since.
