Brigadier General Joseph B. DiBartolomeo served as the Deputy Commanding General (reserve Component), Special Forces Command-Airborne, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. General DiBartolomeo served as an advisor to the Commanding General on all Army National Guard matters. He also ensured that the Army National Guard is fully integrated in the planning process, staffing considerations, force structure, doctrinal development, resource management, training requirements and operational execution by all United Stated Special Forces Command-Airborne Command and Staff Elements. Prior to this assignment General DiBartolomeo served as Deputy Chief, Office of Defense Representative - Pakistan.
General DiBartolomeo has commanded at every level to include an Engineer Combat Platoon, Special Forces ODA, Company and Battalion. He served as the Commander of a Special Operations Detachment - Europe, the Deputy Commanding Officer and Commander of the Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force in Operation Joint Forge - Herzegovina. Prior to this assignment, he held the position of Deputy Commanding General, Special Forces Command (Airborne), Fort Bragg, North Carolina from November 2005 to July 2008.
