BRIGADIER GENERAL FLOYD E. BELL, JR.

 

Deputy Commander, 263d Army Air and Missile Defense Command

Brigadier General Floyd E. Bell, Jr. assumed duties as the Deputy Commander of the 263d Army Air and Missile Defense Command on October 1, 2003. The 263d Army Air and Missile Defense Command plans, develops, and implements theater level Air and Missile Defense plans in combined and Joint operations in support of the Combatant Commander. As Deputy Commander he is responsible for assisting the Commander in developing and implementing Army Air and Missile Defense Plans. General Bell is dual-hatted as Deputy Commanding General-ARNG for the Air Defense Artillery Center and Ft. Bliss, TX.

General Bell enlisted in the South Carolina Army National Guard in July 1970. He received a direct Commission in the Chemical Corps in 1979. Prior to assuming his present duties as the Deputy Commander, he had served as the G-4 and G-3 of the 263d Army Air and Missile Defense Command.
