MAJOR GENERAL ROBERT G. F. LEE

 

The Adjutant General, Hawaii National Guard

Major General Robert G. F. Lee was appointed as the Adjutant General, State of Hawaii, on January 1, 2003. As the Adjutant General, he serves as director of a diverse organization which encompasses both the Hawaii Army and Air National Guard; the State Civil Defense; the State's Office of Veterans Services; and the Youth ChalleNGe Academy, a residential mentorship program for at-risk youths. In addition, he acts as the Governor's advisor on Homeland Security issues.

Major General Lee's military career began on May 23, 1971, when he was commissioned a 2d Lieutenant thru the Army's ROTC program. Prior to his appointment as the Adjutant General, Major General Lee served in a variety of command and staff officer positions; culminating, most recently, in his assignment as the Commanding General, 9th Regional Support Command, United States Army Reserve.
