Brig. Gen. Timothy T. Martin is the Director of the Air National Guard Manpower, Personnel and Services based at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland. He serves as the senior Air National Guard Officer responsible for comprehensive plans and policies, while advocating on behalf of the 106,700 Airmen of the Air National Guard on all issues related to Personnel, Education and Training, Resource Allocation, Services, and Manpower.
General Martin enlisted in the United States Army in September 1991. Following his active-duty tour, he enlisted in the 174th Fighter Wing, New York Air National Guard as a Logistics Specialist. He was one of the first to respond to the events on September 11, 2001 in a fundamental role in the security and personnel recovery efforts. General Martin was also a civilian Software Engineer for Lockheed Martin, Naval Electronics and Subsurface Sonar, Syracuse, N.Y. In April 2002, he received his commission from the Academy of Military Science in Knoxville, Tennessee as a distinguished graduate and became the Chief of Supply, 174th Logistics Readiness Squadron. In 2008, he deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom supporting Combined Joint Special Operations Command. In 2010, as the Aircraft Maintenance Squadron Commander he converted the squadron from supporting F-16 aircraft to supporting MQ-9 aircraft. General Martin served in multiple command positions at the 146th Airlift Wing, moving to the ANGRC in 2022 as the Deputy Director of Logistics, Engineering and Force Protection.
Prior to his current position, General Martin was the Deputy Commander of Air National Guard Readiness Center and Commander, 201st Mission Support Squadron, National Guard Bureau, Joint Base Andrews, Maryland.
