(Transitional) 32nd Separate Infantry Brigade
Brigadier General James P. Daley assumed duties as Commander (Transitional) 32nd Separate Infantry Brigade (L), Headquarters State Area Command, Madison, WI on October 1, 2002. In this position he monitors and assists in the conversion of the 32nde Infantry Brigade from a divisional mechanized brigade to a light, separate and enhanced brigade by coordinating the logistics, training, and conversion processes.
The General's active military service began in 1966 when he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He enlisted in the Wisconsin Army National Guard in 1975 and was commissioned an infantry officer following Officer Candidate School. Prior to this assignment General Daley served as the Assistant Deputy Adjutant General for Readiness and Training where he monitored the readiness and reviewed the training for all Wisconsin Army National Guard units and advised the Adjutant General and Deputy Adjutant General - Army on readiness and training issues. Prior to this he served as Commander, 32nd Infantry Brigade, Director of Logistics, and Director of the Personnel and Administration Directorate.
