MAJOR GENERAL JOHNNY J. HOBBS

Photograph Major General Johnny J. Hobbs is assigned as the Air National Guard assistant for human resources to the director, Air National Guard, Washington, D.C.. His responsibilities include assisting and advising the director on all human resource issues. This input has a major impact on force preparedness and meeting the defense challenges of tomorrow.

He graduated from Barringer High School, Newark, N.J., in 1960, and began his military career as an Air Force ROTC Cadet at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, N.J., graduating in 1964, and commissioned a second lieutenant. He received his pilot wings in June 1966 upon completion of undergraduate pilot training at Williams Air Force Base, Ariz.
