Assistant Division Commander, Maneuver, 29th Infantry Division (L)
Brigadier General Theodore G. Shuey was assigned as Assistant Division Commander (Maneuver) of the 29th Infantry Division (Light) in August 2002. Prior to this assignment General Shuey served as the Virginia State Area Command Liaison Officer attached to the 29th Infantry Division (Light) as the Assistant Division Commander (Rear).
Brigadier General Shuey began his military career in 1969. He was commissioned a second lieutenant upon graduation from the Virginia National Guard Officer Candidate School in 1972. He served in a variety of command and staff positions at battalion, brigade and state headquarters level. He has commanded 3rd Battalion, 116th Infantry, 29th (BLUE AND GRAY) Infantry Division (L) and 1st Brigade, 29th (BLUE AND GRAY) Infantry Division (L).
