BRIGADIER GENERAL TIMOTHY M. KENNEDY

Assistant Adjutant General, Minnesota Army National Guard

Brigadier General Timothy M. Kennedy assumed duties as the Assistant Adjutant General - Operations, Joint Force Headquarters, Minnesota Army National Guard, on 5 May 2003. As the Assistant Adjutant General, he is chief advisor to the Adjutant General on all matters pertaining to Army National Guard operations, training and readiness.

The General's military career began when he enlisted into the National Guard on 30 June 1970. He was awarded a direct commission as an officer in the Adjutant General corps in February 1979. Prior to his present assignment, General Kennedy served as the Chief, Mobilization and Readiness, Directorate of Plans Operations and Training, State Area Command. In that capacity, General Kennedy was responsible for the conduct of Mobilization Deployment Readiness Exercises and the Minnesota Organizational Readiness Evaluation program for the Minnesota Army National Guard.
