BRIGADIER GENERAL GARY D. BRAY

 

Deputy Commander-ARNG

Brigadier General Gary D. Bray assumed duties as Deputy Commander-ARNG, Joint Force Headquarters-Oklahoma on 23 March 2003. As Deputy Commander-ARNG, he advises and assists the Adjutant General on the preparation of OKARNG units for Homeland Defense and mobilization. When activated for a state or Federal emergency, he provides C2 for the Joint Operations Center and coordinates with relevant government and civilian agencies. Upon mobilization, he executes the State mobilization plan and provides C2 and assistance to mobilizing units. Brigadier General Bray also provides oversight of the 189th Regiment (Regional training Institute).

Brigadier General Bray's military career began in 1964. He was commissioned as a Field Artillery officer upon completion of Officer Candidate School. He served as Commander First Battalion 160th Field Artillery and Commander 45th Field Artillery Brigade.
