MAJOR GENERAL WILLIAM H. WADE II

 

Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations, Joint Forces Command

Major General William H. Wade II is the Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations, Joint Forces Command.

General Wade's military service began in 1970 when he enlisted into the California National Guard. He was commissioned a Second Lieutenant through the California Military Academy in 1973. General Wade has served in several key positions as a Traditional Guardsman, to include: Commander, Counterdrug Task Force, with concurrent duty as Commander, Joint Task Force AEROSAFE; Commander, 3rd Brigade, 40th Infantry Division; and Director of Plans, Operations, and Security for the California National Guard. While serving as the Assistant Division Commander, 40th Infantry Division (Mechanized), he served concurrently as Commander, Task Force Victory at Camp Roberts, California; and then as Commanding General, Multi-National Brigade (East) Kosovo Forces 6B, Kosovo. General Wade's most recent assignment was The Adjutant General, California.
