BRIGADIER GENERAL TERRY F. BARKER

Brigadier General Barker assumed duties as the Assistant Adjutant General, Army, State of Oregon, on 1 October 2000. In addition to this position, he served as the commander for the State Area Command and the G2 (wartime) Eighth United States Army, United States Forces Korea. As the Assistant Adjutant General, Army, he is responsible for assisting the adjutant general in deployment and coordination of programs, policies, and plans affecting over 6,500 members of the Oregon Army National Guard.

The General's military service began in September of 1965 where he served as an enlisted soldier for six years in Field Artillery and two years in Military Police. He was commissioned a Second Lieutenant form the State of Oregon Officer Candidate School in June of 1974. Prior to this assignment, Brigadier General Barker served as Chief of Staff, United Nations Preventative Deployment Force (Macedonia) and Commander 82 Rear Operation Center / I Corps G3 (Rear).
