Brigadier General Robin C Timmons assumed the duties of Commander, 16th Engineer Brigade, Ohio Army National Guard, Columbus, Ohio on September 30, 2002. In this position he commands and controls all assigned engineer units in Ohio, and as a Task Force Commander, controls all units for state active duty assignments.

General Timmons' military career began in the United States Army Reserve in 1972. General Timmons was appointed 2LT in the Ohio Army National Guard in 1974.
