BRIGADIER GENERAL FRANK T. SPEED, JR.

DEPUTY COMMANDER, 167TH THEATER SUPPORT COMMAND

Brigadier General Frank T. Speed, Jr. serves as Deputy Commander for the 167th Theater Support Command in Birmingham. In this assignment, he oversees the Support Operations Section and assists the Commander in all areas of responsibility.

Brigadier General Speed began his military career in July of 1969 when he enlisted in the United States Air Force Reserve. He later transferred to the Alabama National Guard where he received his commission through the Alabama Military Academy Officer Candidate School in June of 1975. He has served in a variety of assignments through out his career and was assigned to his present position in November 2004.
