General Officer Biography

BRIGADIER GENERAL BRUCE S. ASAY

 

Brigadier General Bruce Asay serves as the assistant adjutant general-Air for the state of Wyoming. As such, he is responsible for advising the adjutant general on all matters pertaining to the Wyoming Air National Guard. He was most recently appointed as assistant adjutant general-Air in 2004. Previously he served in the position from October 1998 to June 2000.

General Asay began his military service in 1972 when he enlisted in the Utah Air National Guard as a general motor vehicle repairer. He was commissioned as a second lieutenant in 1972 and served in various officer positions with the Utah Guard until transferring to the Air Force Reserve in Colorado in June 1980 as a staff judge advocate. He joined the Wyoming Air National Guard the same year.
