BRIGADIER GENERAL RICHARD H. CLEVENGER

 

Assistant Adjutant General - Air, Indiana

Brigadier General Richard H. Clevenger is the Assistant Adjutant General - Air, Indiana National Guard. He is the principal advisor to The Adjutant General on matters pertaining to the Indiana Air National Guard which consists of the 122nd Fighter Wing in Fort Wayne, 181st Intelligence Wing in Terre Haute, Atterbury Air-to-Ground Gunnery Range in Edinburgh, Jefferson Air-to-Ground Gunnery Range in Madison, and 207th Weather Flight in Indianapolis. He is a designated Joint Task Force Commander for the State of Indiana.

General Clevenger was commissioned in 1971 through the Reserve Officer Training Corps program at Denison University. Prior to his current assignment, he was the Chief of Staff, Indiana Air National Guard. His distinguished service with the 122nd Fighter Wing included assignment as Standardization Evaluation Officer, Assistant Director of Operations, Operations Group Commander and Wing Commander. His aviation career includes more than 5,500 hours flying and instructing in the F-16C, F-4C, F-4E, C-26, C-131 and F-100.
