BRIGADIER GENERAL JILL ANN LANNAN

Brig. Gen. Jill A. Lannan is the Special Assistant to the Director, Air National Guard for Headquarters Air Force, Office of the Secretary of the Air Force, Chief Information Dominance and Chief Information Officer (SAF/CN). As the Deputy Chief Information Officer, SAF/CN, she is responsible for enterprise information technology, including governance, standards, interoperability, and cybersecurity to meet Air Force mission requirements. SAF/CN provides oversight and management of Air Force unclassified and secret network infrastructure. SAF/CN also provides portfolio management and information technology investment review and enforces information compliance laws.

General Lannan was commissioned into the United States Army in May 1985 as a Distinguished Graduate of the Reserve Officers' Training Corps after earning her Bachelor's degree in both French and Spanish from Saint Norbert College, DePere, Wisconsin. During her service with the Army she held a variety of operational assignments including Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) Platoon Leader, Executive Officer, and Operations Officer. In 1993, she joined the Washington Air National Guard where she held numerous command and staff positions, to include Detachment Commander, Squadron Commander, Group Commander, Vice Wing Commander, Wing Commander, and Chief of Staff for the Washington Air National Guard. Prior to her current assignment, General Lannan was the Air National Guard Assistant to the Commander, 24th Air Force, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas.
