Brigadier General Francis S. Laudano III assumed duties as Commander, 164th Air Defense Artillery Brigade, Florida National Guard, on 3 May 2009.

General Laudano was commissioned in 1980 through the Reserve Officer Training Corp program at Georgia Military College. He is qualified as a Rotary Wing Aviator and a UH-1, and AH-1 Maintenance Test Pilot. His most recent assignment was Deputy Commander, 164th Air Defense Artillery Brigade, Florida National Guard.
