Major General Eugene R. Andreotti is the adjutant general for the state of Minnesota. He is the military chief of staff to the governor and commands the more than 13,000 members of the Minnesota Air and Army National Guard, including most of an infantry division, a brigade-sized composite unit, an Army garrison unit, and two major flying units. The military installation at Camp Ripley and Air National Guard bases in St. Paul and Duluth are also under his authority. The general was commissioned a second lieutenant in 1966 and completed undergraduate pilot training at Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas, in 1969. He is a command pilot with over 5,001 flying hours.
