South Dakota officer receives military distinction from Suriname

Tracy Settle received a military distinction from Suriname for his dedication to improving the collaboration between the United States and Suriname through the South Dakota State Partnership Program, which was instituted in 2006. The ceremony took place at the Surinamese Embassy in Washington, D.C. Settle was presented with the Military Medal for Special Merit by Surinamese’s Ambassador to the U.S. Jacques Kross.
