The National Guard Bureau Special Staff assists the
Chief, NGB National Guard Bureau, and the joint staff
with technical, administrative, and tactical matters.
The nature of their responsibilities, or statutory
and regulatory requirements, requires them to have
unimpeded access and a direct communication line to
the Chief, National Guard Bureau.
